2004 Thanksgiving Dinner

BEAM hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for mothers and children in Lighthouse's Transitional Living Program. The event took place at the Evanston Recreation Center on November 21, 2004. About 60 moms and children attended.
BEAM's Thanksgiving festivities included a Thanksgiving feast with all the trimmings and activities for the children, who colored pictures and made Native American headbands. Each family received a laundry basket filled with paper goods and cleaning and cooking supplies. Program Director Donna Howard said, "The day was a special treat for our clients. I hope that this will be an annual event."
