Tapestry of the City 2
On Friday, March 21, 2008 BEAM presented Tapestry of the City 2: An Evening of Music, Poetry and Art at The 20th Century Theatre in Oakley. BEAM raised more than $3000. Event proceeds will benefit Lighthouse Youth Crisis Center, a 24-hour emergency shelter facility serving abandoned, abused, neglected, and runaway youth.

The evening included musical performances by The Chocolate Horse, participants in the 2008 South by Southwest Music Conference and Festival, singer/songwriter Kim Taylor, featured on National Public Radio's World Music Cafe and The Trojan Rabbit. There were also spoken word performances by Nzingha Byrd and Jori. BEAM thanks each performer for the amazing gift of their time, passion and talent.

The silent auction featured a tapestry of items including restaurant gift certificates, collector's items and visual art showcasing local talent. Thank you to our wonderful silent auction donors, including but not limited to Elizabeth Metz, Dewey's Pizza, Jarrett Jamison, Kona Bistro and Habit's Cafe. For a complete listing, click here.
