What is BEAM?
 Our History

Lighthouse Youth Services looked to expand its volunteer base to include young professionals who would become the future leaders of our community. With endorsement by the organization's board of trustees, a group of young professionals founded BEAM (Be Engaged and Make a Difference) in the summer of 2004. The group embraced the values and mission of Lighthouse, and it became committed to enhancing the lives of youth and families. The partnership was a perfect match.

 Our Mission

BEAM is a collection of young professionals dedicated to making a difference through fun and innovative social events and community outreach. We advance the principles and goals of Lighthouse Youth Services while providing leadership opportunities.

 Our Purpose

BEAM supports Lighthouse's efforts through advocacy, service, and fundraising. BEAM volunteers are keenly interested in promoting Lighthouse through fun, creative, and enriching social events and activities. As BEAM continues to grow, the group strives to follow Lighthouse's mission and make Cincinnati a better place to live for children, teenagers, adults, and families.
